Hi I'm Karl and I'm a 28 year old photographer, based in Rathcoole, County Dublin (very near Citywest/Saggart). Fashion photography is my main interest at the moment. I'm lucky enough to do photography as a hobby, but I take it very seriously. I've no plans to take it up full time as a profession while I still have a very well paying job in another sector.
I'm a musician also (guitar player) and have worked with a lot of computer graphics in the past. I use and support Open source software where possible. My style of photography and processing is to try and keep everything looking as natural as possible but with an edge. I can do over the top processing as well as the next guy and will do occasionally, but the OTT shots go in and out of style, but the natural ones are always good. I am influence by popular culture and videographers, more than my photographic peers.
Photographers tend to not like very warm skin tones, but check out the kings of leon video "sex on fire" and you will see some very warm skin tones. Also check out the Paramore video "decode" or the film Twilight to see an example of using very cool skin tones (also a lot of direct light used in that one) also most Evanescense videos use the same tricks. When I'm not going for a natural look, I tend to think more like those videographers. Most of the time I have my "Natural look" hat on
I usually pay my models for their time and I'm happy for them to use the final images from the shoot in there online or print portfolios within reson. (web sized jpegs and pay cost price only for a print)
I have been lucky enough to be able to work with
