I have been a keen photographer for almost two years now. I have never taken any photography classes, but my pictures have won competitions and been used on digital stock photography websites, and on news sites. I started with a Fuji S5500 then grew into another Fuji, the S7000 and finally took the leap to my first SLR, the beautiful Nikon D80. Very quickly this confirmed my position in the Nikonite camp, and after a period of time I felt I was growing out of the D80, so recently I sold it on to a good home, and bought myself a D300. Initial impressions are good, but I was sadly hampered due to a shoulder operation resulting in my arm being in a sling.
