"Photographs to Treasure"
Posted On 17/04/2008 13:23:14 by jimlee
When I started as a professional just over 20 years ago I decided to use "Photographs to Treasure" on my Adverts etc. In todays "Newsletter", on page 3, there is a photograph of the recently deceased "Dickie" Best holding a framed photograph of his son George. Now of all the photographs that he could have picked, this is the one he lifted off the wall. Some 25 years ago a friend and myself arranged for George to attend the annual "Festival" in my home town of Aughnacloy. It was during one of his "dry" spells and was a real gentlman and a pleasure to work with. He posed with the locals and I took the photos..(for a small fee) I took this photo of him and my friend posted a copy to Dickie in Belfast. They framed it and hung it on the wall in their hall.
