Hi all,
Being finding some limitations in Photoshop in noise reduction - becoming an issue at smoke/dry ice infested gigs. Does anyone use or can reccomend third party software or plug-ins for Photoshop that you might have come across?

Thanks
Alan

On the rare occassions when I have noisy images, I use Noiseware by Imagenomic and it's the best noise reduction software that I've come across. I used to use Neat Image, but I find Noiseware so much easier to use with better results too.

I have friends that swear by noise ninja, I haven't used it myself.

I do a fair amount of theatre photgraphy and am often using ISO 1000+ on a Canon (stop laughing!) 40D.  A while ago I spent hours trying to rescue a good pic ruined by noise.  Noise Ninja did a better job in seconds.

I do get "artefacts" dotted around the image but these are easy to clean up.  Must check out Noiseware.

Cheers,
Paul T.
