May I suggest that the newest photographs uploaded in the gallery no longer appear on the homepage, and instead a selection of the 'FEATURED PIC's as in the gallery is used?
This is because if a professional recommends this site to another, one never knows what will appear on the front page. It will not give a good impression of F32 when 'Bebo-style' photographs appear on the hompage. I am also concerned that unapproved images can appear on the homepage. For example, yesterday, there was an awful image posted up which was on the front pages. I cannot now find it, so I assume it was removed.
This would be in line with other modelling/photography sites. "Always show your best side". Anyone agree?

I agree 100%. Not sure if you've been following this thread, but it has left me with the impression that some people simply aren't interested in raising the bar. The ultimate consequence of this is that those that are interested may eventually leave the site as they no longer wish to be associated with some of the content that is featured here on an increasingly regular basis. - Thorsten.

Thank god for democracy,I thought the whole idea of this site was for both amatuers and proffesionals to show there different styles,HUMOUR etc,I think its called freedom of expression? art comes in many forms,I personally cant work same old, same old studio style fair play to those who excell in this style.
I suppose some could always have a personal web site exclusively for there own work, this would without a doubt be more possative attitude,I think it's great to show a creative and immaganative side, rather than uniformity, negativity or snobery however you choose to look at it,cant understand why people slag Beebo etc,its not my cup of tea but there gettin more hits daily,so well done for playing to the masses, wish I had of invented it
Where would we be without Warhol,Newton etc, well done all creative togs and mods we all need your insperation,Im confused,if it was an awfull immage, why look for it again?.

Maybe the gallery could be split into 2, Main one for those images from a shoot, and the other for new models to introduce themselves, this may make it easier for Mods to either delete a bebo type image or move it to the other gallery. some other site suffer from the same problem, which to be honest really turns me off visiting, in turn it makes getting a model from these sites harder, as there are so many wannabe's, would hate folio to end this way. Photography has now been around for a long time, even in the early years photographers strive to get great Images, experimenting with lighting, and came up with great images, its much easier now to get a decent image, though styles may vary wildly, crap images are still crap no matter what label you but on it, there is a lot of crap labelled ART in photography/painting. a bebo style, night out with the girls will usually never be considered art, though a photoshoot in a bar with proper control of light etc becomes a quality image. i'm pretty fed up with seeing camera phone images in the main gallery, I'm sure there are many who are fed up looking at my images too, but there is a lot more time and work from tog and model put in, to create these shots, than just clicking the button on a camera phone etc. Finally, I get inspired by many of the photographers and models, and I have had the privilege to meet and shoot many from folio32. Also if I can give any advice to new togs I am willing to do this, if they like my style. If some don't like my work thats fine, tell me, I won't get offended, though take a look at your own work and see if its as good as it can be, since the digital age its easy to get into photography, but it doesn't make everyone a photographer. as a girl wanting to become a model doesn't make her a model until she learns the skill, a MUA has to learn her skill also. just my thoughts, going to stick my head in the sand now.

The easy solution is to have a few quality images to post to get them off the front page. Or remove and re add some of your own good ones!

Sneaky I did think of doing that, but it would only be a matter of time before everyone caught onto that and we would be back at square one!

They only appear on the homepage when you are LOGGED IN as a member - the general homepage for visitors does not show any images.
we try and remove the "rubbish" images as quickly as possible - but as I have said in a previous discussion on the subject, one mans meat is another mans poison...
We are looking at the whole issue of images and the general standard and will make our announcement in due course.

I would also favour some kind of vetting for the pics used.

Yes your all perfectly correct, lets keep it an EXCLUSIVE V.I.P. site, cause we aint got personal web sites,I agree lets remove immages that V.I.P.'s dont like, and we should all use controlled and contrived lighting to show very plain studio background's, lets all be slow to compliment standard members work, but quick to critisize, huraah for school ties, cold lighting and uniformity in shoots, lets not read the welcome page text, because were special, were Verry Important People, lets all drink Pimms, and discuss Nitche and Whilheim Reich, lets forget its for all of the people.
