Here is a very interesting photoshop tutorial that some might find useful.  It goes a bit fast but well worth a look.       www.collegehumor.com/video:1758889

That was interesting! The person that did that is an expert with the liquify tool and I think the video helped me to finally figure out why I've always struggled with the liquify tool - the brush size needs to be rather bigger than I have been using up until now.

The end result looked rather convincing but he left out a small but important detail and as we know, the devil is in the detail! He totally forgot to do anything with her feet, so that by the time he's finished, her feet are no longer in proportion to the rest of her body and look totally out of place!

If you had a laugh at that Photoshop video, you should really take a look at the series of Photoshop tutorials posted here. Well worth taking the time to view!

..I know its demonstrating a point....and ability.

But hey, would you be bothered.

I would rather go hire an 8/10 size model

Amazing video - and whoever did this clearly has an outstanding ability to use that liquefy tool. Anytime I've tried to use it to tidy up even some little tinesy weensy detail of a picture I've usually ended up totally messing it up!

Not so extreme, but there's an article about the differences in how Kate Moss looks in glossy advertising shots and in real life (or, as the article says, "away from the flattering lenses of fashion photographers") here:
