Just thought canon 1d series camera users may want to know this, very good news

As of the 1st May 2008 Canon (UK) Ltd will be offering an extended two-year warranty on all new purchases of the Canon EOS-1Ds Mk III and EOS-1D Mk III. In addition, all existing owners of either of these products will also be able to claim an extended two-year warranty from the date of purchase.

You'd think that if you paid that amount that it would last 3 years...

My "New" 5D lasted a week and had to be sent back for new "boards" to be fitted. 4 weeks later I got it back.Canon would not replace it but insisted on a "repair" to "factory" settings.

What did you end up buying..????

Well i got my 1dmk3 about 3 months ago and havnt had any issues but i use it mostly for stuido work ,but this summer ill be useing it for Fashion shows and Sports where it should be well able to take on....

But good news , i suspect Canon is feeling the preassure with regards the hit from the AI Servo issue.

have to say i already insist on this with both hasselblad and canon, after all we dont get any cash backs as i recently said at on of the canon stands and they thought it was great fun and had a great laugh, thought it was very funny how pros pay 8500 for a camera and a couple of years later they bring out a 40d that does more than the 1ds mark2 for the amateur market seriously reducing the sale value of the second hand mark 2, maybe they dont need the pro market and are happy to supply the amateur market. Im sorry i ever changed from nikon in the first place, however i could'nt speak higher of hasselblad and the service they provide for their customers.
