I'm not sure if there is a program for this, if you give them image files, best is to keep the files as small as possible, 50 or 60KB so that they would print very poorly, There a program that is use called Pix exe http://www.wnsoft.com/ where you can make a slide show of the images, including music etc, which you can disable the print function, I use this for portrait sittings so they can view the images but can't print any images, The other option is to put a really big copyright logo and your name in the middle of the image, Hope this helps. Tim

Great to see another Pics2Exe user here If you're talking about image files (JPEG's) on a CD or DVD, then no, there is no way to really prevent them from being printed. Basically, if you can see it on the screen, you can print it. Tim's sugestion of a big copyright logo is probably the best deterent, although even that can be removed by someone determined enough. What I do if I'm worried about someone helping themselves to my images instead of paying for them is to simply use the pattern command in PS to place a pattern of a watermark at a low opacity across the entire image. I find this doesn't detract from the image, yet is still visible enough to and occurs frequently enough to prevent abuse. Even a determined thief would have to spend more time than it was worth in order to remove all evidence of the watermark.
Another trick I've seen used is the displacement map with a logo. with the correct settings you can't even tell that anything has changed on the image when viewing on screen but when printed it looks terrible in the print.

Thanks guys. really appreciate your help, it was for portrait sittings, I find that clients want to spend time looking at images, I usually put usually use copyright left to leave a copyright on the image but feel it spoils some of the images, also put a watermark on them sometimes, but will try your suggestions,
Thanks once again
Roger
