okok i am grateful that i got in to the top 5, but was there any point.

With the topic we had before on folio32 about it being a set up was def confirmed for me last night. From first walking in i thought i wodnt get very far. Alison campbell already new alot off girls and so i felt out off place.

I was third up but the two girls in front off me, wer so confident, i had a feeling that maybe they wer the two set up to win. When the top 5 was called, as i would say i near dirtied myself(nice way to put it). i was sooooo shocked, but then the two girls who we all said wod win, WON!!!!! no shockers there. They didnt even look happy and i must say if they had off called my name, i think i wod have a few tears off happiness like.

so just thought i would come on here and let off a bit off steam, but must say im pretty happy as well so getting in to the top 5. shame its a comp u cant win. so close yet so far.

xxxx

Of course there was a point to it. Instead of focusing on the negatives, focus in on the positives. I'm sure the event was an excellent opportunity for networking and I hope you made the most of it. And even if you didn't, it was no doubt an experience that you learned something from.

If this is really something you want to win, then develop a strategy for winning it. Look at how you might become one of Alison Campbells winning girls for example. I've no doubt it's all about developing contacts and working the system, much like so much else in life.

I went to the Belfast Heat a month or so ago, got into the Top7 of the night & descovered how fixed it was. I had heard the rumours but when I got there thought it would be fine, It wasn't until the end when the winners were announced I figured just how fixed it was. Alison gives a piece of paper to the host who announces the winners- but Alison is not one of the judges on the night, she just makes sure it all goes to plan. So you go through the whole judging pannel, answering the questions etc for it to be a waste of time cuz they are not the ones who decide. The 2girls who won the Belfast heat had co-incidently just signed contracts with ACA a few weeks previous, they were both really confident & never even tried much through the night to impress.
I was disappointed as the girls who got through in my eyes were not what a Miss N.I should be, one was a real Barbie, sqeaky voice, bleach blonde hair, rather dumb. The other looked like she came from a very rough area of Belfast, I didn't quite understand the logic of it!

I was told at the end of the night by a photographer there that he had been talking to the judges & most of them said they had voted for me & this one other girl (who in my eyes was the most naturally beautiful of the bunch and should have won hands down). I was annoyed at this cuz I thought if it had been done fairly I may have got through....

But you win some you loose some. That's the way the beauty world works, not much we can do unfortunately. I was going to attend the Bangor heats, but after smiling constantly & waiting around for 4hours having to be nice to a bunch of ditsy rather annoying girls in Belfast just for it to be a waste of time I decided there really wasn't much point!

I got my pics taken for the Sunday Life/World too in the Top 7 & in pairs with some other girl but they never appeared to my knowledge, only the pics of the winners go in!!
