Is this thread still going?

Comments have been interesting and 2 things stand out for me: firstly, a lot of people who criticise the Featured Gallery are people who rarely post images and when they do, the images are years old. For that reason, many of us are of the opinion that if you're out there shooting, trying new things and trying to better yourself, then you are to be commended whatever the final result. Secondly, the images in the Featured Gallery are reflective of the standard of the main gallery which means, in my personal opinion, if the Featured aren't great one week it's because the main gallery is filled with cr*p so it's the best of a bad bunch really! But then many of us are doing it for fun or the love of it, not trying to be the best or most technical so I hope that people like me don't offend the people who are being very serious about their art/profession!
