Had surgery on both my hands on Weds past.

back home, with bad news + worse news...

Bad news:
Werent able to fix my wrists, as the op required was too big.

worse news:
Have to go in for 2 more ops, one for each hand. Have ruptured a ligament in each hand, so full surgery required, including possible ligament grafts from my forearms, and a full immobilty cast for 4-6 weeks each, and 3 months of physio afterwards for each wrist... Surgeon has refused to do them both at the same time.

Hands are heavily bandaged now, and stiff + sore, but nothing compared to whats coming. Hope to be back at work on monday, at least partially, as I'll be off for a lot soon. Have to see the surgeon again next Sunday to arrange when the ops will be.

So I'll be the first to wish you well and a speedy recovery.

Know how you are feeling as I have a major op scheduled for 26th August and know only too well what you are feeling.

Chin up and look at the positives

I am new to this but I have damaged both my arms and in the same case my right foream. I pretty much gave up on playing guitar everagain but I was young a stupid!
I wish you a speedy recovery mate and try not to  rush it like I did as it will only slow you up and that we wont see you first shoot back!
Take your time and be sure you are ready, everyone here knows you have a skill and we will all happily wait to see it again!
Get soon well bud and hopefully in a while I will be able to grab some advice off ya :P
