on your 2 points :

(1) Approval may be slow, but they are progressing with it - I have emailed them. However, it could take a while, as you say.

(2) TTL : This is exactly why I want to use them - to have more flexibility and quicker response to changing (lighting) situations. If you're doing mainly studio work, or have very static situations, then PWs are just as good in practice.
