Speaking of events, I'm going to be visiting the Photovision Roadshow in Dublin on Sept. 2 and was wondering if anyone else reading this was planning on going? It would be nice to meet a few people that I haven't yet had an opportunity to meet face-to-face.

My ticket arrived today in the post. Got the email a couple of weeks ago.

Thorsten, as you say, speaking of events . . . could be a great opportunity to organise a Dublin 'meet' or shoot to coincide with the roadshow?

Perhaps. But I'm flying up in the morning and back on the last flight that evening and will be travelling light (i.e., no camera). But I do intend to visit Dublin sometime for a shoot at some later date.

I have my ticket but I'm a bit undecided about going - its seems to be more or less the same line-up - Guy Gowen et al as last year and the year before ..  !!

.. and as I recall some of the feedback last year was that it wasn't so different from the previous year !  that said free ticket - dunno yet :)

May go down and take a few days in Dublin.

I wish... But at just €10.00 for the return flight it's significantly cheaper than driving from Cork or taking the train!

except for the taxi fares on top of it ;)
