Due to personal issues which have preaccupied my time (not to mention my mind!) I've been unable to give this the attention it needs. On top of that, I felt it was getting a little over-complicated, with talk of hiring all sorts of venues. My initial idea was to keep this simple and within the confines of what might best be termed "low-budget" shooting, something that was accessable to anyone and to demonstrate that you don't need fancy penthouse suites or expensive lighting kit to get great images as well as being an opportunity to learn from each other.
The other problem of course is a shortage of models. Of course, models aren't a pre-requisite to doing this as we could all use each other as models, but it would be so much better if we had "real" models there.
Is it still going ahead? No reason why not. I suggest we meet outside the Clarion Hotel on Sunday 14th at 11:00 and take it from there.
And for those that have asked me if they can come along even at this late stage, well, as far as I'm concerned, it's an open event as there aren't any special arrangements being made that require people to confirm their attendance.
