Still no 5D Mk II, but the 50D is here

Looks like the lifecycle of the xxD series has dropped from 18 to 12 months. Maybe they have just accelerated in response to Nikon's latest crop of cameras.

It does seem like a fast upgrade on the 40 alright. 

Wow ! the price points posted in the review, asking the same in $  and €, last time I checked the € was 1.48 to the $.

No surprises there, that's always been the case.
