That implies that because someone is very active they have nothing of interest to offer.
Exactly. And I think there may be some evidence of that already here. It happens on every forum. Some people just like having the highest number of points, so they engage in posting "fluff" simply to increase their score. Nothing you can do about it really, except to acknowledge that it exists and not read too much into a high points score.
