Cam across this in my email this morning - ZE – Carl Zeiss SLR lenses now also with EF bayonet.

Pricing looks to compete well with Canon's equivalent L-Series lenses, although one must take into account that there is no AF (or IS) in the Zeiss lenses.

Yes they are doing the Nikon too. I think it's called the ZF. I was surprised to realise that it was manual focusing.

A lot of people seem to be already using old zeiss lenses on canon cameras via adaptors - especially for wide angle - so I guess there will be a market for ones made with the proper mount.
