Hi,

Does anyone know anywhere/anyone in the Belfast area that specialises in restoring old photos? I.e B&Ws from about 40 years ago that have cracked and faded over time.

I know Belmont offer the service but you have to post your photos away and sign a waiver incase they loss/damage your photos (doesn't sound too healthy!).

Cheers,
Ange

from working on some old images that my granda gave me the best way is to scan, work on photoshop and reprint.  That way the origional stays, a new one with print quality guarenteed for 50 -75 years is available and also you can redo the your retouching if required

Im sure any photographer in the area would help and im happy to offer my services if you like

Andy, some of the photos i have are tiny. One or two passport-sized and the others about 2'' x 3''. Can it be done on photos this small or will the quality just be not as good?

Cheers,
Ange
