I've noticed that a few polls posted have particularly biased answer fields i.e. all the answers leaning in the same direction. A comment field below polls would allow people to:
1) Explain why they have chosen particular answers.
2) Give their own answer when an option isn't presented.
3) Correct people who have been misinformed about the industry.

Whilst I agree with you TJ, I doubt this is going to change much. I simply don't bother with useless polls like that. But where someone has taken the time to carefully structure their poll, with optional answer that actually make sense, then yes, I will contribute to that poll.
I think the addition of a comments section would be the most useful option along with a fifth option of "None of the above". I have often avoided polling because of the lack of a comments section, for example where I might have agreed with the first half of an answer but not with the second half. Maybe we should have a poll about this
