Yet another snippet that may be of interest to models here and this one is from an Irish perspective and gives and interesting insight into the lives of 3 models from the BScene Agency in Dublin - Marianne O'Neill, Oliva Hogan, Yasmin Beharic. What caught my attention was the comment on glamour modelling -v- fashion modelling. The blog containing the video can be seen in a new window by clicking here. Would be interesting to hear your views on it after you've watched it! - Thorsten.

Very informative Thorsten, I guess it shows that if a model isn't dedicated then there is very little chance of them making it as a model in the bigger world.

I have no idea However, since starting to use Google Reader, it's become a whole lot easier to stay on top of the many blogs I frequently visit. It's so much easier now to scan through them and pick out the interesting bits and ignore the rest. - Thorsten.

Ive watched it, its good. Yasmin was right in saying fashion gets more respected because it does but heres my opinion. Its a great job but too many requirements, being only 5'6 i couldnt try to make a career out of it and i wouldnt be interest in catwalk anyway. Glamour modelling can be tasteful or tacky. It depends on the model. Ive seen some shots of girls that arent great but then youll find the more classy glamour models like Kelly Brook and even Jordan is respected more these days. They did very well for themselves.
In glamour modelling i think a model is more likely to succeed faster in that career than fashion as thats more harder. The aspect is not all about getting your clothes off, alot of glamour models do lingerie and swimwear only. I WOULD NEVER DO FULL ON NUDE!! I seen girls do it and i was working with a girl from England who does it in a classy way, i wouldnt go there. In this career, smaller or curvy models can make a living out of it and thats what is so good because in fashion there is so many rejections if a small girl wants to do modelling glamour modelling could be an option or even commercial. For me, ive decided to concentrate on glamour, fashion & commercial.. im putting my full concentration in glamour modelling and thats what i hope to achieve and make a name for myself. I hope it will lead me into my dream job of acting but ill get more training in drama aswell in years to come.
