I saw the thumbnail and thought "who's brave enough to shoot in a swimming pool?" I saw the photo and wondered how the "Ice" was done. Thanks for the graphic explanation. Paul T.
OOH I understand now...It was just a wall of paper and a coloured gel used for the blue and the lighting that throws a circle round her to give the glow?! see the top of her right leg- kind of fades into the background abover where her hand is...I don't know if this was done from material in her dress or maybe from the processing stage? It draws my attention to why it's not as bold as the rest of her body... I'm sure you could fix that & the image would be more or less perfect in my eyes!

Sure you can ask, but if I tell you I'm going to have to kill you! This was a solid block of ice that came all the way back from the Antarctic at great expense and we had to work really fast before it all melted!
Actually, the background is nothing more than some waste white background paper, which was going to thrown out but found a new lease of life in Liam's studio.
