GLAM 'R' US Grand opening!! :) (i cant believe ive actually did it lol)

I just wanted to put a little post and let you all know that my hair and beauty salon will be opening this saturday on the Mourne Road in Lurgan, you are all very welcome to come along, have a wee nosey and maybe book yourselves in for appointments!  :) Cameras are more than welcome for all you photographers out there... lol

Hi Everyone!

Well after reading Lisa's blog about not knowing what to do career wise in life, i actually realised that i am not the only one whos messed about since leaving school! I left school and did beauty NVQ, Childcare, then i worked in a restaurant, then i became an office junior, then a legal secretary until i got pregnant with my daughter and decided to try childminding and modeling of course. And to think i only left school 5 years ago!!

Well i am posting because i would like some advice. I have finally (well hopefully) decided what i really want to do in life and i am opening my very own joint business - a hairdressing and beauty salon in Lurgan. I did the beauty years ago but have recently did some intensive courses in nail extensions and spray tanning. I know that opening a business is obviously a great risk because it could go either way for me but i would love to hear adivce from established business owners - of any sort!

This has actually been a childhood dream of mine and i am opening with my best friend who is a hairdresser so i am just hoping that everything works out. I have named the salon Glam 'R' us Hair and beauty and i am aiming to open mid september...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Guys!!!

I havent been on this site very much lately due to moving house and having no internet access at home (i feel like ive lost my right arm without it) but i am back now and ready for more photoshoots as i want to get some really edgey sexy images for my portfolio.

I am mainly interested in glamour work but i do also like to do fashion/lingerie/lifestyles photoshoots, anything to vary my porfolio!

Please get in touch if you would like to arrange a shoot, i am available during most days, evenings and also weekends.

I hope everyone on folio is keeping well and its good to see so many new faces joining.

 Ive been quite quiet lately as ive had no internet access at home and im finding it hard to keep in contact with everyone.

You have probably all heard on the news about what happened to Aaron, he was good friend of my boyfriend and i knew him for years, being from moira, we all know each other and right now everyone is in pieces! His life was taken on Thursday night by what i would call someone who doesnt deserve to walk on this earth..

Aaron was such a gentleman, anytime i ever met him he was so nice and he was one of the kindest people i have ever met in my life. I just cant understand why this happened to him!?

I cant begin to understand how his family are going to cope and come to terms with this, i didnt know him too well compared to other people but i just cant get my head around it. He was only 23 and had his whole life ahead of him!!!

All i can say is i hope they catch the person who did and they should get everything they deserve!

I would really like to get some high class glamour/lingerie images, something a bit different and of a sophisticated nature. i do not want this to be topless, only up to implied.

I would like to do this maybe at the end of February to give us time to gather ideas, props etc, so if any photographers are interested please message me.

I would like to do this as a TFP shoot and would love for a Make up artist to come on board TFP as well, hopefully the ideas i have would benefit everyones portfolio.

Did anyone watch Colleens real women on ITV2 on Saturday night?

She chose real women to be put forward for a big modeling contract with Pretty Polly, 3 real normal women were picked and were put up against professional models in the interviews and in the end a size 12/14 gorgeous girl with big boobs and curves got picked, which i thought was brilliant!!

It just shows that its not always the typical size 0 models that get all the work and normal sized girls are just as gorgeous and can make it in this business!!

Cant wait to watch the next show, shes going to be putting real women forward for a modeling contract with Avon!!!

I did a photoshoot with a great photographer this week and he told me he has left folio as there was too much 'arguing' and 'fighting' in the forums etc.

I thought this was really awful because i look at Folio as a great networking site for models and photographers to showcase their work and arrange photoshoots and if people are leaving because of all the 'agro' then were going to have no one left :(

So........

 Lets all TRY to make Folio32 a happier, friendlier place where everyone can be happy to log in and comment nicely on other peoples photography/modeling and keep the nastyness for our other halfs !!! :) :) :)

Hi Everyone!!!

I have my first event this weekend as a Northern Irish Score Angel, i shouldnt call it an event as im only going to be handing out taster magazines but im excited to do something lol

We will be at the Westwood Centre first on Sunday and then we will be going to Connswater shopping centre in the afternoon so if your out and about shopping, dont forget to say hello :)
