The eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted a new section in the menu.. "GROUPS"

Groups have been created to create mini communities within the folio32 community. You can create Critique groups, special interest groups, regional groups etc etc... the list is endless. Group creators have the option of having their group public or private (by invite only)

This feature is only fully accessible by GOLD members. Standard members have only read only rights to the group section and guests have no access at all.

Any comments or feedback would be welcome

You may have noticed the site was down for all of Monday (29th)
Apologies for the outage - I was informed of the problem half an hour after leaving the country and had trouble getting Internet access, and when I did Tech support was much slower than usual.. but all well now...

We are 1 year old to-day!

Thank you to all the members for their contributions to folio32 during the past year... we now have over 600 members, over 10,000 images in the gallery and the site has had a staggering 18,537,549 page views since it went live...

Special word of thanks to the mods... Brendan, The_Judge, plukee and Charlotte for keeping a watchful eye on the site...

We have loads of plans for the site during the next few months.. watch this space... things can only get better!

Hi all... We finally got around to doing the update of the site... Still putting the finishing touches to it all... Comments welcome... Admin

Always look on the bright side of life!

Following on from Brandyman's forum topic I wish to get everybodies views on 18+ filter for the site.

This would mean that general visitors to the site would not be able to see any images that are tagged 18+

Only when members are logged in and looking through individual profiles will the 18+ images be seen.

I have set up a poll - please answer and if you wish to comment further please use this blog to do so

THIS DOES NOT MEAN ADULT IMAGES WOULD BE ALLOWED - ANY IMAGES WITH GENITALS ON DISPLAY WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DELETED AND THE USER BANNED - THAT RULES STAYS REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME OF THIS POLL / DISCUSSION

Due to certain recent activity on this website I feel duty bound to issue this warning to all models... 

PLEASE take great care when booking shoots with "photographers" that you do not know. Make sure you ALWAYS check references before arranging to meet these people.

Do not take the fact that certain (well known) models are on this "photographers" website to mean that he can be trusted.

Be especially careful if the photographer is offering a "last minute shoot" due to a cancellation by another model and offering a shoot THAT day giving you NO time to check references - a common tactic used by these so-called photographers!

Also take care when other members wish to communicate with you outside of the relative safety of this websites internal email system. Do not give out personal information, including mobile phone numbers and/or email addresses until you are 100% satisfied that this person is genuine and you have check his/her references.

If you have any doubts about any bookings please do not hesitate to contact us through this website.

folio32 has been set up to create an exciting community for all those assocaited with the photography business in the traditional 32 counties of Ireland.

This site will only work if the members join in and get invloved - post images, comment on others images, get blogging and help out fellow members in the forum - but please remember at all times - KEEP IT FRIENDLY!

Please take the time now to update your new folio32 profile. The most important information is your headline,  job and experience details.

Your headline is the bit that appears at the very top of your profile and will then act as your signature in any messages you post in the forum.

To change the settings click on MY ACCOUNT then SETTINGS and then PROFILE SETTINGS

Enter your headline and then select from the drop down menu your gender, interest and experience.

REMEMBER TO CLICK ON SAVE PROFILE SETTINGS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE TO SAVE THE NEW SETTINGS

*** IF THESE SECTIONS ARE NOT COMPLETED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF JOINING THE SITE YOUR PROFILE WILL BE DELETED ***

You can also fill in any of the sections including Hobbies, About me etc. Any sections that you leave blank will not appear on your profile.

You can check how your profile will look to visitors to your profile by clicking on MY PAGE from the sub menu.

Again - REMEMBER TO CLICK ON SAVE PROFILE SETTINGS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE TO SAVE THE NEW SETTINGS

Please also take time to update your profile picture - it will look much better than the "no image available" default image! To change this - go to MY ACCOUNT / and then click on "change pic" under the current Profile picture field. This image must be no bigger than 120 pixels by its longest length.

You can then start posting pictures in your personal gallery.

 REMEMBER... This site is to showcase photography in Ireland - please treat it as such and do not post pictures from your latest night out! There are plenty of other sites for those sort of pictures! We will remove these images without warning - persistent offenders will have their memberships deleted.
