why i hate christmas...
Posted On: 16/12/2007 11:11:14

so apart from the obvious lack of funds and such, i was quite looking forward to christmas this year...in fact i started shopping in August...

usually things go wrong in the first week or two of December, but it seemed everyone had a clear run this year. I passed my driving test on the last day of November and thought, Brilliant Xmas.

Alas, no. where have I been driving to? the frigging hospital.

The grandfathers in with MRSA because the Royal are incontinent bastards (s'cuse the french) and I had to take my boyfriend Glenn to A&E yesterday with bad chest pains...the doctor tells us it's a collapsed lung!

so as I nervously wait to hear if Glenn's out of his operation, I can gladly say, I am NOT looking forward to Christmas...

i blame the coldness! It's got to everyone. Thank you all for your comments, I hope anyone else with illnesses or worries in the family or with friends, I wish them all the best in recovery.

As Thorsten says, let's look forward to 2008! Start the year, the way you mean to go on and all that bother!

All the best to everyone and *shivers* Merry Christmas (I'm such a Scrouge)

Like Leanne said, there must be something in the water. My wife got a gum infection which resulted in her having to get her top two wisdom teeth out earlier this week. She came home looking like a bruised and battered stuffed chipmunk and people wondering if it was my doing! To make matters worse, a few days later the infection went deeper into where the teeth had been removed from and the strength of the antibiotics doubled as a result, with a warning from the dentist that if it didn't heal very soon she should be prepared to go to A&E in the event of the infection spreading down her throat and causing asphyxiation! Scary stuff! But thankfully, she seems to be on the mend.

Best thing to do is look forward to a brighter and healthier 2008!

I feel for you love, honestly I'd swear there's something in the water this Xmas with the run of bad luck everyone seems to be having!

Keep your chin up xo

Ouch, Not so good. Hope it all works out. It's been though here too, My Father in Law died a few weeks ago, and now my Mother in Law is in for a breast cancer operation. She was supposed to come down to us for Christmas, but that's out now.
