Well, slightly saddle sore we returned to the Phoenix park amid much fanfare and garda escort yesterday. It was a great charity run and already in excess of €300,000 has been raised with more to follow. We did approx 1300kms in the end.Over 150 bikes ended up taking part and despite some unbelievably bad weather on Sunday morning , the remainder was glorious. Great roads around N.Ireland and Donegal, and stunning scenery.
The planned celebrations at Joes' Pub in Ballymoney were subdued as a local Irish rider, Martin Finnegan, died in a tragic accident while racing over the weekend. He himself gave his time and name to many Down Syndrome Ireland events (including the milk float from Craggy Island racing around Mondello Park which you might have seen on the news). Our thoughts are all with his family at this time.
Hi everyone, FYI, we are heading predominately West and North this year. Sorry Thorsten :-) We are doing a big run around N.I. and if anyones is up that way and want to see a big bike procession with kids etc.. check out Joey's(Dunlop) Bar Ballymoney around Sunday lunchtime :-) over 170 bikes in total!!!
See/Chat to you all , undoubtedly much later and much much wetter on our return.

Hi All, Just thought I'd let you know that over the weekend DSI have a charity motorbike run accross Ireland - 1000 kms over 3 days. We are going both north and south so if you see lots of strange and very very loud bikes through your area, you know what it's about :-) Might be some good photo ops if you like the hairy biker thing :-)
There are 170+ bikes in total and we are aiming to raise upwards of €250,000.
